Silence
Silence is a status effect that prevents the target from using skills while it is active. It does not prevent monsters/bosses from using abilities. When a skill or attack can apply Silence, its Silence chance is reduced by the target's Resist Silence. The interaction between Silence and Resist Silence is simple subtraction: subtract the targetโs Resist Silence from the attack skill's Silence chance to get the final chance to apply Silence.
Silence is separate from Suppression, even though both effects block skill use. Suppression is the PvE-relevant status for interrupting or delaying monster and boss abilities.
