Detailed Cabal Online Class Tier Lists ranking the performance of Warrior, Wizard, Blader, Dark Mage, Force Archer, Force Gunner, Force Blader, and Gladiator. The rankings aim to provide insights into optimal class choices for both Player vs. Environment (PvE) and Player vs. Player (PvP) effectiveness, considering factors like single-target damage, Area of Effect (AoE) capabilities.
Single Target DPS
This tier list focuses on ranking Cabal Online classes based purely on their maximum damage potential against a single target. Optimal damage rotation differs by class; Blader, Force Archer, and Dark Mage typically achieve their peak single-target damage output utilizing their Battle Mode 2 (BM2) skills (with Gladiator potentially falling into this category as well). In contrast, all other classes generally rely on their Battle Mode 3 (BM3) activation for maximizing damage against individual opponents. Click on each row to expand for more information
Single Target DPS Tier List
Blader (BM2): Blader excels at single-target damage output with Battle Mode 2, offering both exceptional burst and sustained DPS. The class boasts the highest defensive capabilities through superior defense rate and evasion mechanics, complemented by efficient life steal from rapid BM2 claw attacks. This combination of offensive power and survivability made Blader the premier DPS class until Dark Mage’s introduction in Episode 28.
Dark Mage (BM2): Introduced in Episode 28, Dark Mage’s Battle Mode 2 delivers impressive single-target damage that rivals and potentially surpasses Blader’s output. Despite being a magic-oriented class, Dark Mage maintains strong survivability through rapid attack sequences that generate substantial life steal, enhanced by built-in HP regeneration and health restoration when activating Battle Modes.
Force Archer (BM2): Force Archer features one of the most visually engaging Battle Mode 2 attack animations through its dual gun mechanics. The damage output of Force Archer’s BM2 compares favorably with Force Gunner’s BM3 against single targets, placing both classes in the same performance tier.
Force Gunner (BM3): Force Gunner’s Battle Mode 3 delivers the fastest attack animation among all BM3 classes, combined with strong damage output for optimal DPS against single targets. When hitting multiple opponents, the damage receives approximately 20% reduction but remains highly competitive.
Wizard (BM3): Wizard’s Battle Mode 3 produces the highest individual damage numbers in the game, though its slightly slower attack speed results in approximately 5-10% less DPS compared to A+ tier classes. Wizard has a distinct advantage when attacking multiple targets, as it doesn’t suffer from the 20% damage penalty that affects other classes’ AoE performance with Battle Mode 3.
Warrior (BM3): Warrior provides adequate damage output during early and mid-game progression, featuring effective AoE capabilities without a multi-target damage penalty. However, its slower attack speed in Battle Mode 3 limits overall DPS potential.
Gladiator (BM2/BM3): Gladiator ranks among the less frequently played classes in the game. According to Korean test server damage comparisons, Battle Mode 2 appears to offer superior performance, though both modes deliver damage output comparable to other B-tier classes.
Force Blader (BM3): Force Blader provides significant value in end-game party compositions through its debuff capabilities, though its raw DPS performance places it firmly in the B tier alongside Warrior and Gladiator.
Force Shielder: Force Shielder offers superior defensive capabilities and valuable aggro management skills for specific party scenarios, but has the lowest damage output among all classes. While capable of completing all available dungeons, Force Shielder’s limited damage and AoE capabilities result in approximately 20% slower farming efficiency for most dungeon content.
AoE Tier List
The effectiveness of Area of Effect (AoE) attacks in Cabal Online varies between classes, necessitating a distinct AoE Damage Tier List. Some classes experience reduced damage output per target when hitting multiple enemies simultaneously with their Battle Mode 3 (BM3) abilities. Furthermore, classes like Blader, Dark Mage, and Force Archer possess limited target capabilities in their Battle Mode 2 (BM2) – hitting only one or two targets respectively. Consequently, their performance in this AoE ranking is evaluated based on their Battle Mode 3 (BM3) damage potential. This tier list considers both the raw damage output and the effective area coverage of each class’s AoE skills. Click on each row to expand for more information
AoE Damage Tier List
Wizard: Wizard excels in AoE damage due to its combination of high base damage, excellent area coverage, and absence of damage penalties when hitting multiple targets simultaneously.
Force Gunner (BM3): Force Gunner experiences reduced damage when hitting multiple targets, but its superior attack speed, substantial AoE range, and strong base damage still make it highly effective for area damage applications.
Warrior (BM3): Warrior provides effective damage and AoE capabilities, though its attack speed falls below average for optimal area clearing.
Force Blader & Force Archer (BM3): Both classes feature balanced AoE capabilities with consistent damage output for effective multi-target engagement.
Blader & Gladiator (BM3): Both classes deliver damage comparable to B-tier options but suffer from more limited AoE coverage, reducing their effectiveness for multi-target content.
Dark Mage, Force Shielder (BM3): Both classes struggle significantly with AoE applications. Force Shielder offers marginally better damage output (approximately 5% higher) in Battle Mode 3 compared to Dark Mage’s BM3, but both remain suboptimal choices for multi-target content.
Nation War Farming (beginner)
In Cabal Online, your gear heavily impacts Nation War performance. The 3 main ways of gaining nation war score are: dealing damage, receiving damage and healing other players. Damaging opponents effectively is difficult without good gear, and healing is only an option for Force Archers. Therefore, focusing on defense is usually the most practical strategy. Classes with strong base defense and useful defensive buffs shine for new players, letting them earn score simply by taking damage during the war. Click on each row to expand for more information
Nation War Performance Tier List
Force Shielder: Force Shielder provides substantial defensive base statistics enhanced by powerful defensive short-duration buffs. The class’s Battle Modes offer additional defensive enhancements, making Force Shielder the most accessible option for accumulating Nation War score points, even with minimal gear investment.
Warrior: Warrior features substantial HP regeneration, effective defensive short-duration buffs, high base defense from its armor class, and elevated base HP for improved survivability in Nation Wars.
Gladiator: Gladiator shares many defensive qualities with Warrior and additionally provides an “immortality” short-duration buff. These damage-limiting buffs reduce incoming damage to fixed values, proving exceptionally effective for point accumulation during large-scale engagements when targeted by multiple opponents.
Force Gunner: Force Gunner has moderate base defensive statistics but compensates with effective defensive short-duration buffs, including an “immortality” buff that reduces incoming damage to fixed values.
Force Archer: Despite sharing the typically lower defensive base statistics of magic classes, Force Archer can continuously provide healing support to allies. Additionally, the class benefits from extended attack range, allowing safer positioning beyond enemy reach during Nation War engagements.
Blader: While not specialized for PvP content, Blader’s high defense rate and evasion provide effective mitigation when absorbing damage from guardians. Blader offers an “immortality” short-duration buff that causes complete evasion rather than damage reduction, making it less effective for point accumulation. New Blader players should focus primarily on guardian targets.
Dark Mage: Dark Mage features utility-focused debuffs that can slow or petrify opponents, but suffers from lower base defensive statistics. Its defensive short-duration buffs provide moderate protection but are limited by longer cooldown periods.
Force Blader: Force Blader offers moderate defensive short-duration buffs and various utility debuffs that can affect opponents. However, these control effects don’t contribute directly to point accumulation in Nation War scoring.
Wizard: Wizard has the lowest base defense rating among all classes, with defensive short-duration buffs that provide insufficient protection for extended survival. New players will find Wizard particularly vulnerable to guardian damage in Nation War scenarios.
