Ignore Penetration

Ignore Penetration reduces an attacker's effective Penetration, helping your Defense keep more of its effect. After enemy Cancel Ignore Penetration is applied, any remaining Ignore Penetration is subtracted from the attacker's Penetration.

If the attacker's effective Penetration falls below 0, the excess does not go to waste. It continues to work past that point and makes your Defense more effective than it would otherwise be. For example, if an attacker has 1,000 Penetration and the target has 2,000 Ignore Penetration, the excess 1,000 Ignore Penetration pushes the attacker's effective Penetration below 0 and makes the target's Defense even stronger.

Typical Use

Ignore Penetration becomes more useful when enemies have enough penetration to remove a large part of your defense value. It is especially relevant in content where enemy penetration is high enough to reduce the benefit of building raw defense alone.
