Deduct Protection

Deduct Protection protects a fixed number of incoming damage hits. The first protected hit has 100% damage reduction, but still deals at least 1 damage. After that, each protected hit consumes one count and the protection weakens by 2 percentage points per consumed count.

Normal misses, evades, and blocks do not consume Deduct Protection. Only hits that would deal damage consume a count.

Sources

  • Wizard Buff: Force Shell gives Deduct Protection 16 at max level, and the Force Shell Effector can add up to 7
  • Warrior Buff: Rhinos Toughness gives Deduct Protection 30 at max level, and the Rhinos Toughness Effector can add up to 10

Notes and Tips

  • Hit Count Shield: the value is the number of protected hits, not a percentage.
  • Strong Opening Hits: the first protected hits reduce damage the most, while later protected hits are weaker.
  • Final Count: the last protected hit is forced to 1 damage, then Deduct Protection ends.

Formula

Each incoming hit consumes one Deduct Protection count; later protected hits reduce less damage
